Tax Rate
The Final Approved 2019-2020 spending plan totals $110,063,103 an increase of $3,884,120 (3.66%) from last year’s budget. To balance the budget, the School Board agreed to raise the millage rate from 28.802 to 29.464 an increase of 2.3% percent, one of the lowest increases over the past fifteen years. The new millage rate will mean the average Hatboro taxpayer’s real estate bill will go up by about $81.20 while the average Horsham taxpayer’s real estate bill will go up by about $120.30. The increase for every $100,000 in assessed property value will be about $66.
Important Dates and How to Pay
The 2019-20 Hatboro-Horsham School District School real estate taxes will be mailed on or around July 1, 2020. If a Mortgage Company services you and your taxes are escrowed, please forward the remittance part of the school bill to your mortgage company. Mail payment or make payments in person at 414 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 91040. The last day to make payment in Discount is September 2, 2019. Face is September 3 through October 31 and Penalty is November 1 through December 31, 2019. All taxes for the 2019-20 tax year need to be paid by December 31, 2019 or a lien will be placed on your property.
Installment Payments
In the 2019-20 School tax year you have the option to make (3) installment payments. It is important that you know all of the restrictions on installment payments prior to making an installment. Installment payments are based on the Net/Face amount only. Discount is not permitted. A 10% penalty will be assessed on any late installment payment.
Due dates are as follows:
1st installment must be paid by September 2nd or entire bill is due.
2nd installment is due on or before October 31st
3rd installment is due on or before December 31, 2019
